ECG and Acute Care
An Electrocardiogram (ECG) is a test that is commonly used to check a patient’s heart’s rhythm and electrical activity. Multiple sensors are attached to the skin and are used to detect the electrical signals produced by the heart each time it beats.
The term acute care encompasses a range of clinical health-care functions, including emergency medicine, trauma care, pre-hospital emergency care, acute care surgery, critical care, urgent care and short-term inpatient stabilisation.
