Filiform Bougie Procedure

Filiform bougie procedure is used for exploration of small areas, such as sinus tracts. The bougie itself is a slender, flexible or rigid instrument for introduction into the area. It can consist of either a straight or spiral tip, and the trailing end usually consists of a threaded cylinder into which the screw tip of a following bougie can be inserted.
