This most commonly involves an endoscope or capsule camera, and is used to locate the area where the esophagus meets the stomach. This procedure is primarily used to detect conditions like Barrett’s oesophagus, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), esophagitis, hiatal hernias, or cancer.
