Image Description:

T-tube cholangiography is typically performed 5 to 10 days after gallbladder removal. The common bile duct tube allows the bile to usually flow from the gallbladder where it has been stored. A T-Tube is surgically placed after removal of the gall bladder and is inserted to help prevent the build-up of bile in the common bile duct in order to prevent swelling but to also assist in the process of healing.
