Bunion or Hallux Vagus

A bunion or hallux vagus is a deformity of the big toe. It is a bony lump and sometimes can develop a soft fluid swelling. The bony lump occurs on the metatarsal bone which has become exposed as it tilts out of place. Usually due to pressure off ill-fitting shoes.
