Hypermature Age-Related Cortical Nuclear Cataract
Image Description:
Cataracts largely develop due to age-related causes, although they can be caused by injury to the eye, exposure to radiation or hereditary causes. Symptoms include blurred vision, halos around light, poor night vision and vision showing faded colours. It is the leading cause of blindness in parts of Africa and South America, where access to surgery is much more limited than in countries such as the US.
