Prolapse of a Cervical Disc

Image Description:

A prolapsed or herniated disc is a fragment of the disc compressing on the nerve root. The disc lies between adjacent vertebra and they consist of an outer fibrocartilaginous part and it’s the central semifluid part called the nucleus pulposus that can leak causing the fragment.
